Abstract: Wireless technologies, another promising field for development, come to diversify the possible
\nscenarios and divide specialists. Will these technologies be able to combine with VoIP and constitute a
\nreal threat to traditional telephony?
\nWhile the biggest doubts regard what the market is willing to absorb quickly, future becomes uncertain
\nfor most players in the industry. Since the only certainty is that changes are coming, the best thing to do
\nis preparing for them.
\nWhat may happen according to the microeconomic models? How important may regulation be to define
\nthe industry\u2019s future?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

E-Government as a Way to Reduce Corruption<\/a><\/p>\n

Abstract: Corruption diminishes the efficiency of governments and reduces the benefits it brings to the people. It disturbs the accomplishment of the government\u2019s main goal of collection money from the people to give it back to them in form of benefits.<\/p>\n

ICT has been surging as an important tool to increase efficiency inside companies and more recently also inside government institutions. E-Government, as has the application of ICT to government been named, is helping to increase efficiency, add value and in some cases reduce costs. Mainly as a collateral effect, E-Government is also reducing corruption in many cases.<\/p>\n

This study will focus on understanding how E-Government may be used to reduce corruption, how it is managing to do so in some cases, what are the requisites of ICT solutions to accomplish it and what are the main issues and opportunities provided by this type of solution. Concluding with some guidelines of how to use E-Government to combat corruption.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Abstract: This study will try to understand how turbid the industry is by analyzing the different players and their interactions, the different efficiencies of networks and how Skype is managing its competitive advantage and sustaining it by creating lock-in effect.
